Kannada Sangha of Queensland Inc. (KSQ) is a not-for-profit organisation incorporated under the Office of Fair Trading, Queensland. It aims to promote and preserve Kannada through cultural and linguistic activities and thereby educate the younger generation about the rich culture and heritage of Karnataka State.

Established in 1995, KSQ is a voluntary organisation that is primarily run on donations and membership. The organisation is run by a committee of members who volunteer their time and effort to meet and organise events.  

​

The purpose of KSQ is to organise community get-togethers, provide a forum for adults, as well as youngsters in Queensland, to keep in touch with their language, and showcase their talent in arts, literature, and cultural activities of Karnataka. 

​

We request all Kannada-speaking people to support us by renewing your membership promptly and encourage your friends and family to become members. It is only through the membership and generous donations from our well-wishers that KSQ has been successful in celebrating all major festivals like Ganesha Habba, Dasara, Yugadi, and Rajyotsava and conducting cultural programs, sports events, and several other community outreach activities.

ತಾಯ್ನಾಡಿನಿಂದ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಮೈಲಿ ದೂರ ಬಂದು ಕ್ವೀನ್ಸ್ ಲ್ಯಾಂಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿರುವಂತಹ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬಂಧುಗಳನ್ನು ಕನ್ನಡ ಭಾಷೆಯ ಬಾಂಧವ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಸೆಯುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ 1995ರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿ ಸತತವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಲಾಭರಹಿತ ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ದತ್ತಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ – “ಸಿರಿ” ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಂಘ.

ಉತ್ಸಾಹಿ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕರ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಈ ಕೂಟವು, ನಮ್ಮ ಪರಂಪರೆ, ಆಚಾರ-ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು, ಸoಸ್ಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು ಉಳಿಸಿ-ಬೆಳೆಸುವ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುದಿನವೂ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಮತ್ತು ಕರುನಾಡಿನ ಕಲಾವಿದರನ್ನು ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಗಳ ವೇದಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರೋತ್ಸಾಹಿಸುವುದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ, ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಾಲೆ, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ಚಾರಿಟಿ, ಯುವ ಮುಂತಾದ ಹಲವಾರು ವಿವಿಧ ಚಟುವಟಿಕಗಳು ವರ್ಷ ಪೂರ್ತಿ ನಡೆಯಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತವೆ.

ನೀವು ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗಿ ನೋಂದಾಯಿತರಾಗಿರದಿದ್ದಲ್ಲಿ ದಯವಿಟ್ಟು ಸದಸ್ಯರಾಗುವಂತೆ ಈ ಮೂಲಕ ಕೋರುತ್ತೇವೆ.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಾಲೆ 

“ಎಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಇರು, ಎಂತಾದರು ಇರು, ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನೀ ಕನ್ನಡವಾಗಿರು” ಎನ್ನುವ ಕವಿವಾಣಿಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ KSQ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಬ್ರಿಸ್ಬೇನ್ ನ ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರಿಗೆ “ಕನ್ನಡ ಶಾಲೆ” ಎಂಬ ಕನ್ನಡ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಆಸ್ಟ್ರೇಲಿಯಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹಲವಾರು ಕೇಂದ್ರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಯಂಸೇವಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಕರಿಂದ ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷದಿಂದ ನಡೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುತ್ತಾ ಇದೆ.
